There are faces in
the clouds of
disembodied spirits,
Of lions and cats and dogs, that all
float above the ground.
And when I'm all alone, just wishing
you were by me,
I often see your smile, drifting all
around.
There's a castle with proud towers
rising, and fields that gleam in the sun,
And with the dark breakers rolling in
there’s another ship on the run.
In the air, there's still the freedom,
to choose what you will see.
I've searched the clouds for you—
have you ever looked for me?
All the castle walls will fall, the
ships roll out to sea,
As I watch the scenes unending, your
loving face I'll see.
'Cause hopes can last forever, my love
for you won't fade,
So now I'll spend time dreaming, to
chase my doubts away.
There are elephants, lions and tigers;
the dragons like Saint George slew,
And wagon trains, cowboys and Indians;
and, if you like, Winnie the Pooh.
In the air, there's still the freedom,
to choose what you will see.
I've searched the clouds for you-- have
you ever looked for me?
Yes, I've searched clouds for you--
have you ever looked for me?
