"Transformation"

People
change in many ways, it's often
plain to see,
That time can mold the best of plans to
fit society.
A young mind's always open, for anyone
to sway.
Makes me wonder how many minds I've
messed up today.
Douglas was a young
man, much smarter
than his peers;
Listened to by everyone, in spite of
his years.
He dug on protests and thought them a
blast;
Yet, grew to be the general in charge
of the draft!
People change in many ways, it's often
plain to see,
That time can mold the best of plans to
fit society.
Curley was an indian lad, a jolly
Navajo.
Planted crops and went to school, as he
watched them grow.
He spoke only of peace, from Nome to
Tijuana.
Got busted four years later, for
growing marijuana.
People change in many ways, it's often
plain to see,
That time can mold the best of plans to
fit society.
When Charlie was a little boy, he loved
astronomy;
Had a telescope he used to watch the stars so free.
Why he could name a dot of light, others could hardly
see,
And now he is a sniper with the First Infantry!
People change in many ways, it's often plain to see,
That time can mold the best of plans --- to fit
society,
To fit society...
